California law requires online course providers to send a paper copy of the completion certificate. Your certificate will be sent via 1st class mail and delivered within 5 to 7 business days from the date your course was completed.
When you finish your course, you will have the option to purchase expedited shipping (Next-Day, 2-Day, or 3-Day) if you so choose.
No, you will need to enroll in a separate behind-the-wheel course after you pass this online course and take your permit test at the DMV. California does not provide a complete list of approved schools, but you can click here to check your local driving school's license status.
California does not currently allow online testing for the Provisional Permit. You will need to visit your local DMV to take the Permit Test.
